I think of you so often - a real kindred , albeit slightly wounded, spirit ^-^ I lost a foot of intestines & a hernia so things are looking up. I had 2 stays in the ICU during my month long hospital stay. It was a bit scary when I was in the ICU the 2nd time & could not recall my name or make sense.
How are you & Laney?
i think of you the same way, my dear. well, those were probably bits you needed to lose. life does go on, doesn't it?
that 2nd trip to ICU sounded way too scary and dangerous. just glad you made it through all of that.
Laney is doing great. i talked to her earlier. she was able to go up the stairs to the 2nd floor at work and again at home with no problems, a feat she had not been able to do at all for the last 3 months. the edema has gone down and pain is steadily decreasing also. i think we can call her surgery a success! :)
me, ah well, the fistulas are giving me hell and arthur has decided to make his presence known in my right sacroiliac region and rt hip joint. but that is an almost lifelong battle too. on average i can usually say "i am here and hanging on". i'm revamping my dietary regimen radically and cutting out my beloved dairy(cheese and yogurt have kept me alive many times) and gluten to see if it makes a difference. i have a sneaky suspicion it will. in which case i should feel better. thanks for asking. <3
