Happy Samhain [Oct. 31st, 2009|11:54 am]
[Current Mood |nauseatednauseated]

Halloween dates back to some of my family's early Celtic roots -
turnip carving anyone? Sting gives a nice explanation of the origins of Trick or Treat & sings about it - Soul Cakes

I am dressed as a healthcare worker - I can't tell you how many times people ask me if I'm a nurse because I mostly wear scrubs & Crocs. Hospital scrubs are easier on my frankenstein-esque tummy & hernia - lol~!

For friends in the US - don't forget about Daylight Savings Time

good to see someone remember the Celtic origins of yesterday. as my kids were growing up it was a big deal, and not just costumes, tick or treating and too many sweets. was a time to reflect on our roots as well.

what a crazy weather day we had. at 9pm it was warmish, 70F, poured rain off and on, but slacked up long enough for my brother's shindig for his daughter & fiancée. hope it was a Happy Samhain for you! Slainte`! ^ ^

dressing as healthcare worker...lol! love all the pup costumes and the Potter ensemble is excellent.XD
