My Dear..... [May. 22nd, 2009|01:34 pm]

Since I've been on disability since 2006, I have really cut back on spending - I used to order L'arc related items with casual abandon.

But it's all snowdark's fault that I ordered L'Arc-en-Ciel / Live in Paris - she pointed out this clip - My Dear is one my favorite L'arc songs
& it rates really high on my weak in the knees "Oh my God, that voice!" hydometer

I mentioned yesterday that I woke up with a fever of 103 - and I was tempted to succumb to a lie of omission when my IV infusion nurse called to ask how I was feeling.. Well of course I was instructed to go to the er since my visiting nurse wasn't available to do a blood draw & culture..

I had a chest xray, a pee in the cup test & a nose swab .. all of which came out fine. I mentioned having a bad headache all day (and I never take tylenol or aspirin because I don't want to mask a fever- it's the way my body tells me somethings not right)... well after taking 3 tylenol I mentioned I still had a headache. The doctor said, well you could have meningitis so we could do a catscan of your head & do a spinal tap...... gahhhhhhh I refused and was able to go home. The doctor was just being cautious -

I've been to the hospital 3 times this week.. I'm starting to get hospital burnout. I was back at the hospital cancer center today to get an infusion of iron (I don't have cancer - it's just the area where you can get infusions of whatever) - I want to stay optomistic..but some days I feel like I get my hopes up then something else smacks me down again.. ah well I'm still blessed...just a bit tired and cranky.

My copy arrived today, I didn't realise it had been released yet! It was an absolutely amazing performance of My Dear... it was such an amazing concert in general, and I'll always cherish the memory of being there.

Crankiness is perfectly natural... embrace the inner crank, for it is a legitimate emotional state! Everyone is entitled to feel unhappy in bad times. I hope the iron gives you a boost!
