I was in the hospital from the beginning of January and released 9 days ago. A blood clot and a fissula kept me in for a few extra weeks.
I was trying to get over the 'jet lag' of my hospital stay - and was doing pretty well. I was really tired and in some pain, but that was expected. Then I started to have problems with stomach pain and vomiting - I went to see my surgeon on the 28th & he thought it best for me to be admited and have tests done.
A CT scan showed an absess - and it is currently being 'drained' in a tru fold pouch.
Ha! I feel like a bag lady with all the pouches I have (tru fold drainage pouch / a stoma pouch on top of my wound & a tube that goes into my stomach for tube feeding.
I feel much better then I did when I came into the hospital. I'm thinking positive that my stay here this time will be SHORT SHORT SHORT!
Love & Hugs to all of you
