I'll take the veggie special [Feb. 10th, 2006|02:08 pm]

Sometimes the best advertisement is word of mouth - and a fellow employee was talking up a local Soup & Sandwich spot called the Soup & Sandwich Carver Finally! I managed to actually find it today (I tried unsuccessfully last week during a downpour to locate it) - & I had asked if it was veggie friendly. Sure my coworker said They will make anything you want.. I walk into a teeny tiny space with one of those revolving rotisseries with a large slab of meat on in for slicing..and a work area that had me thinking too close for comfort **cringe** so I look about at the menu to find a very unveggiefriendly menu selection. I wish I hadn't been the only customer there because I felt a bit akward sizing up the surroundings and leaving - especially since everybody was staring at me -

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and walked out because it gave you a bad vibe? Or ever wish you listened to your instinct, but didn't?

So I took Hyde & Sakuras advice and went to the much more veggie friendly Chinese place & got some spring rolls to go. ^-^

A lot of talk recently (& more then talk in spot places ^^;;) of the Prophet Cartoons that have caused such an uproar.. I feel like I understand both arguments and would have a hard time if pressed to take a side - It's interesting to view it in the way of animated editorials:

It's just a freakin cartoon approach
The Muslims are cool people approach

Since Detroit was home of the recent Superbowl, there was precious little mention of the Olymmpics in Italy. Athlete Salute

My sense is that the vast majority of the Muslim community just wants what everyone does, a simple peaceful life.. (Kaze no Yukue PV)

Yoinked from momof3teens ^-^
Your Candy Heart Says "Hug Me"

A total sweetheart, you always have a lot of love to give out.
Your heart is open to where ever love takes you!

Your ideal Valentine's Day date: a surprise romantic evening that you've planned out

Your flirting style: lots of listening and talking

What turns you off: fighting and conflict

Why you're hot: you're fearless about falling in love

^0^ Smooshy Hugs to kurarisa for the PV

LJ Edit - I found Go's snarky review of Season's Call interesting. (I must agree that the PV isn't very dynamic, but I find the song rather likeable myself)

*nods* Exactly. But it sucks that the extremists are the ones who are always in the media spotlight. Makes the rest of us moderate ones look bad T_T *sigh* Why can't we all just get along? People should just stop provoking unnecessarily and reacting violently.

Btw, thanks for the PV. I ganked from the first ysi link. OH HYDE YOU SO PRETTEEEHHH - darn you soon-to-be oyaji for looking prettier than a girl DDDDD:

Kaze no Yukue <3 I'm so proud that PV exists XD

It's so sad there are so many fundamentalists out there. Islam is a wonderful religion, like all others. But it's not the issue here; you don't go provoking Muslims, even jokingly, when they're so sensitive about anything right now due to the way people view them. The violence is by no way justified, but these people want to be left alone and not have the rest of the world point at them. As a Muslim myself, it hurts me to see us portrayed like we're some savages or whatever...

Ok I'll stop ^^ I could go on forever like this lol

Your Candy Heart Says "First Kiss"

You're a true romantic who brings an innocent hope to each new relationship.
You see the good in every person you date, and you relish each step of falling in love.

Your ideal Valentine's Day date: a romantic dinner your sweetie cooks for you

Your flirting style: friendly and sweet

What turns you off: cynics who don't believe in romance

Why you're hot: you always keep the romance alive

Thank you for the Muslim community comment. It relieves me to some extent. ^^ Just the other day, I saw a comment at somebody else's lj... she wrote..

Dear people of Islam,
Shut the fuck up.

I'm a muslim, and it hurts me to see that world in general today perceives us as terrorist just because some nuts went extreme and bomb others. T.T

Ah, I already have the pv, so I didn't snag it. But thanx anyways. Peace. <3

i feel so awful for the muslims in the US right now. :( people are especially predjudiced against them---my friend is muslim.
his sister was driving on the highway and someone threw a coffee mug at her window and cracked it. isn't that just CRAZY!?

oh god, Go of jrocknyc really makes me mad sometime.
although the PV probably isn't the best, i DO like this song a lot! (even better than countdown!)

i really think that people are just jealous or something of hyde's and l'arc's fame...and the fact that they are more "mainstream" or something. AGH.

Silvanos's comment on jrocknyc's review was not at all necessary. I'm used to jrocknyc's snarky and sometimes questionable way of expressing his opinion but he doesn't need such hateful people hanging around. To wish such harm/emotional degradation to any one person always makes me sad.

Today, I went into a japanese bakery/pastry/desert today. They call it a Bakery but I came out with a very gorgeous looking and rather tasty Green Tea Mousse. They had mixed in seaweed into the tea mousse and a bit of red bean paste in the middle, haha, i was the only one enjoying it! It was very pretty as well, packaged nicely, very proffessional done. Just like the french ^^

I hadn't noticed all the snarky comments - *L*
Go san's review is hardly snarky when I put it into that perspective ^.~...

Green Tea Mousse... sounds interesting. I'll have to see if they have that at the Japanese store near my house.

Well, this review isn't bad because I understand what he's talking about but there are other reviews or other statements he's made about other bands (like girugamesh) and l'arc works that are REALLY snarky XD But he seems nice enough and he shares on the torrents often so it equals out. ^^

btw, rofl @ your icon - how more true could that icon be XD

It's filmed in the desserts near Los Angeles...

I thought the song is fine... Sorta laruku-ish actually, as far as the melody goes, but everything is definitely HYDE-ish.

I like his look in the PV. Nice hair and makeup.
