watched the news & now I'm terribly depressed [May. 5th, 2004|12:23 am]

My luck ran out - so far I had been able to avoid seeing any TV coverage showing the photos of tortured prisoners in Iraq - Today Leigh turned on the Canadian news as they started to show picture after sickening picture. I really could have done without seeing people being shot to death ^^;;

After all this crap, I imagine people might get wistful for the good old days of Saddam Hussein. Hmmmm - killing people, locking them up without telling their family of their whereabouts, torture - Isn't that exactly what we said we were liberating these poor people from?

I think I'm at this odd point of being so tired that I can't sleep. I'm feeling really anemic lately & that always leaves me quite exhausted. I have a lot of work to do at the office, so I hope my addle minded self can get it together.

Techan, What's the "H" stand for?

I really need to do some spring cleaning.. Who needs a swiffer? We'll just use Hyde

Humanity I suppose isn't that important to these people... >_<

I wonder what dynamics lead people to this type of group/thug mentality to do such torture? The stories just keep getting more and more depressing - The families of the people involved must feel sick.

People can be really stupid sometimes. But yes, at least we always have the Larukuspam to cheer us up. Even though Hyde's eyebrows in that last one scare me a little.

War stinks.. no war - spread the Laruku luvvvvvv --- (OK, Hyde often tortures me too, but in a fun way! )

Yes his eyebrows do look a bit scary LOL- I liked the sort of disheveled look of the outfit (what hychan? *tries to imagine scenario where hyde is having to dress really quickly*)

That's exactly it. If people spent more time worshipping Laruku there would be no time for war! And of course, who would let a fellow Laruku fan starve? Hence, no more world hunger. Oh, it's a brilliant plan!

I'm sorry you saw it :( I agree... it makes me mad what's been happening there, that's all we need for the Arab world to see. Bush sent troops to "stop the tyranny, stop the deaths" and look what those troops are doing! Will *THAT* make closer ties to Middle Eastern peoples? I think not!!

I hope work goes well tomorrow, I hate it when I can't sleep because I'm overworked. It's like I feel *guilty* that I'm sleeping when there's work to be done. It's a little better now that school's out but... >__<; Maybe you'll get lucky and tomorrow that horribly rude co-worker will be all "It would be nice if you would take today off with pay so you can get some sleep. I have nothing to do, do don't worry, I can handle your workload for... about a day. Maybe even two."

how people can be so cruel still wonders me?! it's painful to admit that there are people who live through the misfortune of others...don't worry, be glad that at least your spamming gives smiles to all the laruku fans in the world!!!

^-^ Laruku - harbingers of peace LOL. I like how I'm able to virtual fans around the world. You can't imagine how pleased I was to have some Korean fans contact me - Korea/Japan isn't exactly a 'love connection' so I have to think that a room full of fans crying for Hyde (he performed live on tv there) is a good thing!
