s'noots! to you [Nov. 2nd, 2005|10:43 am]
nepenthes59

>.< looks around nervously as my stomach has calmed down for the first time in a few days... garr
who needs sleep, anyway?

An interesting conversation on the Scott family ML - about Halloween traditions my Dad & his brothers/sisters had growin up. They recall going round chanting S'noots s'noots Which I guess meant "nuts, nuts" as that's what people gave on Halloween It seems like an interesting neighborhood they grew up in - and life would be interesting enough with 6 brothers/6 sisters

Do you have any Halloween traditions you remember?

scampers back to work & hopes for a painfree day

Why can't I have happier Halloween memories? >:o

My brothers and I TPed the elementary/middle school principal's house every year until we were twelve. I never thought to ask until recently why she never called the cops--apparently, she knew it was us all along and thought it was funny, since we were such well-mannered kids in school.

its "the night of the dead"

paid respects to my mother's parents.

We set up a talbe and served two meals, spoons, and lit candles around it. Its the first year we did this as so I hope it does become some tradition. I enjoyed everyone from her side paying a small visit that day. ^^

I used to dress up as dracula and go to this huge massive outdoor set up that a friend of mine put on every year.

I never celebrated Halloween in Morocco, just once in a while because my dad worked at the American school. Now I do and it's crazy fun, but I have no traditions related to it, really...
